Siem Reap by Tuk-Tuk: A Solo Adventure in Cambodia: A Presentation by Dr. Sandra Kies

Siem Reap by Tuk-Tuk: A Solo Adventure in Cambodia: A Presentation by Dr. Sandra Kies

All times listed in Central Time.

Dr. Sandra Kies will reflect on her three-day solo exploration of Siem Reap in the heart of Cambodia, site of the astounding ancient city of Angkor, which contains the largest temple complex in the world. Cambodia was a nexus of South East Asian religions, invading forces, and cultures for thousands of years before being exploited by French colonialism, drawn into the devastation of the Vietnam War, and then the horrors of genocide under Pol Pot.

Dr. Kies will take you on a virtual tuk-tuk tour of the incredible temples of Angkor, a heartbreaking outdoor museum that aims to educate the world about the genocide, and an amazing circus for training disadvantaged youth, as well as the sights and sounds of downtown Siem Reap.
